Mummies of the World
Acknowledgments
The exhibition Mummies of the World is based on the exhibition Mummies: The Dream of Eternal Life, which was created and first presented at the Reiss-Engelhorn Museum in Mannheim, Germany, in 2007. The research of the German Mummy Project provides the basis for this exhibition. Working with an international team of scientists from many disciplines, the German Mummy Project has, since 2004, used state-of-the-art technology and nondestructive methods to study more than 40 human mummies from the collection of the Reiss-Engelhorn Museum and other museums and institutions in Europe.
